3 men accused of armed robbery

One man from Illinois and two men from Wisconsin were accused of robbing an apartment resident at gunpoint on Nov. 17. The incident took place at around midnight when the accused men allegedly entered an apartment on Church Street in Beloit. One of the men charged for felonies after the incident was believed to be carrying a handgun.

Police say that the three men 'ransacked" the apartment, and the homeowner was not immediately able to verify everything that was taken. A police sergeant said that a search would need to be conducted to determine what property was missing from the home. On Nov. 18, a 25-year-old man was taken into custody at his home, a 23-year-old man was detained at his work, and a 29-year-old man was detained on West Grand Avenue in Beloit.

The 25-year-old accused man was handed charges for robbery with a dangerous weapon, burglary of a dwelling, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting or obstructing an officer. The 29-year-old man was charged for burglary, armed robbery, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug trafficking place and possession of cocaine with intent to deliver. The 23-year-old man was charged for burglary and armed robbery.

A person who is facing charges after a similar incident may be able to work out a plea deal with the prosecution. A lawyer may be able to help an individual to negotiate for reduced charges and a sentence that does not involve jail time. If an individual was falsely accused of being involved in a burglary that they were not part of, an attorney may be able to help them to argue for a dismissal.
